R&D Units are periodically evaluated by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT), resourcing to panels of international evaluators, who assign a rating and funding for the following multi-year period. The current evaluation focused on the scientific and technological activities carried out by the R&D units between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2023 and on the objectives, strategy, activity plan and organization for the period 2025-2029.
The Center for Mathematics and Applications of NOVA University of Lisbon (NOVA Math) has been awarded the highest possible rating — 5 out of 5 in all three evaluation criteria — with a final classification of Excellent.
