My main research area is Operations Research and Management Science, focussing on sustainable logistics, specifically sustainable supply chains, waste collection, and healthcare logistics. From a mathematical perspective, my research revolves around the development and application of single and multi-objective mixed-integer linear models, often enhanced by meta-heuristic algorithms. The multi-objective nature of my work stems from the incorporation of sustainability principles, which encompass economic, environmental and social factors. In recent years, my focus has broadened to address various challenges in healthcare logistics, particularly in the areas of home healthcare and social care services. My overall goal is to adapt successful models from industry to the social care sector.
