Advancing Human-Robot Interaction: Harnessing Natural Language an Event Cameras in Collaborative Robotics
Abstract: Collaborative robotics is taking human-robot interaction to new heights, where the use of natural language, especially captured by event cameras, plays a fundamental role. Through advanced algorithms based on Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques, we are empowering robots to understand and respond more intelligently to human natural language, opening up new possibilities for collaboration and interaction.

Learning from spatial data: shape modelling and orbit estimation
Abstract: Spatial data, that is, data relating to a particular location in space, has a center role in numerous applications, particularly as its accessibility continues to increase. In this talk, I will cover two current areas of interest: shape modelling of 3D objects and orbit estimation. On the first, we consider the problem of creating 3D shape models from noisy and incomplete point clouds, while in the second we handle estimation and prediction of the position of a satellite in orbit. For each of these applications I will present the problem setting and highlight the key techniques used to address it.
