CMA member, Paulo Doutor, jointly with Viana, have recently translated to Portuguese the book entitled “Breve História Matemática da Dinâmica Populacional”, authored by Nicolas Bacaër, which presents a brief history of Population dynamics, an area of science that tries to explain from a mechanistic way, the temporal variations in size and composition biological populations, such as those of humans, animals, plants or microorganisms.
