1st edition of the Winter School Mathmasters
The 1st edition of the Winter School Mathmasters will be held at the Department of Mathematics of NOVA School of Science and Technology (FCT NOVA), from 14th to 18th January 2019.
Mathmasters School is intended for undergraduate students, interested in Mathematics, considering the possibility of pursuing studies in this scientific area.
Given the topics covered by the school, students must at least be enrolled in the 3rd year of an undergraduate or master course in Sciences, Engineering or Economy of any Higher Education Institution.
The school offers six courses, each comprising three sessions of 1h30m. In this 1st edition the courses are the following:
- Decision Problems in Algebra
- Statistic and Visualization of Data at the Era of Big Data
- An Automatic Classification Model
- What is an Actuary?
- One Introduction to Commutative Banach Algebras
- Analysis and Mathematical Finance
